Sanitaire TRADITION SC684 Overview
The SC684 is noticeably similar to the SC888 model, except that it has slightly less power and comes with an ABS plastic hood instead of a chrome steel hood, although the handle is made of chromed steel while the base is Lexan. Also, the SC684 does not have a Quick-Kleen fan chamber, a mainstay in the Quick Kleen series models. So it is safe to consider the SC684 as a more basic version of the SC888, a version that’s more ideal for those who have less demanding needs but would appreciate basically the same package.
Benefits for the SC684 Commercial Vacuum
- With a 7-amp motor, the SC684 does not seem to stand out among the other 7-amp models from Sanitaire. But what’s special about it is that it uses this power to the fullest thanks to the help of the Vibra Groomer II brush roll. And since the motor has been rated as a commercial-grade long life model, it can give you several years of service.
- With the shake-out bag system, it is easy to empty and clean the dustbin.
- Weighing just 16 lbs., the SC684 may not be one of the lightweight models, which weigh as little as 10 lbs., but it is significantly lighter than the 18-lb. models from Sanitaire.
